A BlueStar inspection report is not a warranty or certification of the vehicle. The report is meant to provide the user with a qualified mechanic's opinion of certain key mechanical components and items on the vehicle at the time of the inspection. The BlueStar inspection does not inspect all parts and components on a vehicle and the vehicle may currently need repairs outside the scope of the BlueStar inspection. In addition, there may be items marked as acceptable in the BlueStar inspection report at the time of inspection that may fail or need repairs in the future. Users of BlueStar inspection reports may use such reports to provide some guidance on the mechanical condition of the vehicle as of the date of the inspection, but should not rely solely on the BlueStar report for an indication of a vehicle's condition.

Some inspection categories above may not be applicable to all vehicles. If an inspection category is not applicable to a certain vehicle, it is by default marked "Acceptable". Inspections may be performed by employees of BlueStar or by independent repair shops/vendors that have been trained and BlueStar certified. BlueStar nor the mechanic or related repair shop/vendor for whom the mechanic may be employed is providing any warranty or guarantee on the inspection or vehicle. The decision to mark an item acceptable or needs attention is based solely on the opinion and judgment of the inspecting mechanic and BlueStar guidelines.
