We formed Bluestar to meet what we see as an important need in today's publishing world by developing, publishing and promoting material where the primary objective is to deliver a positive and hopeful message to everyone it reaches. In today's media, we are told too often what we must do to be 'safe' (buy insurance, lock our doors, and don't trust anyone), or about the many deep and difficult problems in our world. In both direct as well as very subtle ways, we are encouraged to live our lives in fear. In fear of all the things that might go wrong and the many aspects of our lives that are out of our direct control (nuclear terrorism, earthquakes, global warming, job security). While many of these issues are important to us and we should certainly be informed about them, we feel that the other side of the coin is telling people what they can do to improve their lives and how to overcome their fears, explaining many of these issues in terms of what can be done to improve things for all of us - deserves at least equal billing! Our Mission Bluestar's mission is to provide, promote and facilitate the generation and dissemination of material in all media that might help people to overcome their fears and help them find a more balanced perspective in their daily lives.
